Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of The New Hope Church of God based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

“We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator, and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and Earth, the source of all goodness, truth, and love. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and we strive to be obedient, to revere and to fear him.

Revelation

God is Spirit; he has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, through the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Salvation

We believe in Jesus Christ the Son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of virgin Mary, suffered, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall judge the quick and the dead. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. “That whosoever truly believes in him will not die but have eternal life”. (John 3:16).

The Church

We believe the Church is not the building or institution, but is a fellowship of believers in Christ, established for the purpose of worship, ministry, and to proclaim the word of God, for teaching, for rebuking, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
